Magazine Covers

I have completed my replica of the NME cover using InDesign (mine on the right). This has let me get to grips with the InDesign software, namely in the departments of Text editing and image placement. The replica is not 100% perfect, but I have still tried to reach a good level of accuracy through the use of different fonts and arrangements that are either similar or the same as the original.
And this is a Work In Progress of a similar exercise, but with a cover of BAZAAR (mine on the left). Thisis much more reliant on adjusting text than graphic creation.

Bookbinding Manual

The idea here was to create a concertina booklet, showing the reader how to construct a string-bound book. The drawings were done originally in ink on paper, and were then scanned in and arranged in two sheets of A4 in Photoshop. Colouring and text were also added in PS (Text was done using new Fonts), and then the whole document was printed. I then used a guillotine to chop the paper accordingly, and used a Pritt Stick to secure it together.

Credit to fellow student Tom Shepherd with help on the sewing illustrations.
